My friend and I initially encountered a bit of trouble locating this hidden gem, and gaining entry wasn’t a breeze either, as it often tended to be packed. However, once we successfully stepped inside, it turned into a positive experience for both the eyes and the taste buds. The drink presentations were visually stunning, and the friendly service contributed to the overall charm of our visit.

The modern interior and cosy indoor setting make it the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the beach amidst screaming kids.

Baobab quickly became one of my favourite choices for a cocktail bar in Fuengirola. Why? Well, mostly due to its reasonable prices and convenient central location. Although they don’t offer anything to fully satisfy your appetite, the proximity to numerous popular restaurants more than makes up for it.

Blackberry Café is well-branded and filled with fun decor and drink options. We would typically choose this place when the weather wasn’t on our side, as they don’t offer direct outdoor seating. It was also a go-to spot for a hipster-style brunch or lunch. Believe me, nothing beats a hipster treat.

The venue is well-lit, modern, and bustling with stalls that offer an array of treats, ranging from traditional Spanish dishes to delightful Asian delicacies. You are cordially invited to savour small bites and beverages from each stall and subsequently locate a cosy seat in the centre unless you arrive during peak hours. In that case, you might need to stand or get snug next to some unfamiliar faces.

As you ascend the stairs at the northern end of the beach, you’ll come across this laid-back bar. You can sit and gaze directly at the beach or get cosy in one of the beanbags. Either way, a great atmosphere is assured. In the evenings, you might even catch a DJ playing, ensuring that you’ll feel the rhythm in your head and hips.

As you can see, Fuengirola has a lot to offer for thirsty travellers like you. However, if you’re staying longer, don’t feel obligated to stick to one place. There are plenty of other locations near Fuengirola with an even wider range of cocktail bars to explore.

You can easily reach Benalmadena and Torremolinos by taking the train, which was my favourite way of transport while living in the area. A day trip to the centre of Malaga is also a great choice, as it’s only around 30-40 minutes away.

In short, this part of Spain as a whole will surely offer you a fantastic vacation with plenty of wonderful cocktails.
